Overcast and a cold night.

Writing my first blog entry. Hopefully I'll be able to keep this up-to-date.

Just had my CS454 midterm last night - needless to say, it went horribly! I'm having somewhat of a hard time accepting the fact that the Computer Science program here at University of Waterloo seems to enjoy beating their students into pulp with their hammer of stress by giving us totally unjustifiable deadlines for assignments and an absolutely horrible midterm schedule. Spending two whole days on no sleep is hard enough trying to finish two programming assignments that are worth a substantial amount of your final mark, but on top of that having a midterm to study for is pushing it.

Anyways, onto other things. These days, the sun's setting earlier, the temperature is getting colder and the mood is getting duller. Autumn is here! It's overcast and cold. Hard to believe that only last month the temperature was around 20 degrees celcius and we could be outside walking in shorts. Today the temperature is 3 degrees and we could still wear shorts out, but only if we have a death-wish. One thing that I greatly enjoy about this season is the vibrancy that the trees show-off. With different shades of red, yellow, orange, brown and green, it's like the tree's are desperately trying to showcase their beauty and keep the fauna from moving south or going into hibernation.

Speaking of the south. It was only last week when I was at James' that him and neighbours showed me the video from their visit to Cuba. I was totally captivated - and quite jealous too. Absolutely beautiful white sandy beach stretching along what seemed like a infinite universe of soothing blue water almost welcoming you with open arms. Hopefully, someday I'll have the opportunity to visit a place that gorgeous.

That's all for now. I have to get back to studying for my CS343 midterm for Monday and also start getting a head start on 3 assignments and the CS360 midterm that I have next week. I know, I'm quite the nerd, and an even bigger loser.

Cheers!
